Delete your account and data
Nesta by TinyKite · Last updated: 13 July 2026
The short version
You can delete your Nesta account and its data at any time. The fastest way is in the app: Settings → Delete account. Your account is disabled immediately and permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period. If you change your mind, just sign back in within those 30 days and the deletion is cancelled.
Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open Nesta and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is disabled right away and permanently deleted 30 days later.
To delete a child’s account, the managing parent opens that child’s member settings and removes the account there.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you can’t sign in, email support@tinykite.co from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Nesta account.” We will verify that the request comes from the account holder before we act on it, and we aim to respond within one month. The same 30-day grace period applies from the point we action the request.
What gets deleted
- Your identity record in our shared TinyKite identity service — your email address, display name, any verified phone number, and your authentication data (password hash, passkeys, two-factor secret, and linked Google/Apple/Microsoft sign-ins).
- Your personal data on our messaging (“relay”) service — your household membership, your device registrations, and your push notification tokens.
- For a child account: the child’s first name, derived username, and device registrations (a child account holds no email, date of birth, or password).
What may remain
- A “tombstone” for past messages. So the rest of your family can still read earlier conversations, a minimal marker keeps a sender name against messages you already sent. It holds no contact details and does not let anyone sign in as you.
- Limited security and audit logs may be kept for a short period, or longer where the law requires, for accountability and fraud prevention.
- Deleting your own account does not delete the whole household or other members’ accounts.
Timing
Disabled immediately · permanently deleted after 30 days · reversible by signing back in during the grace period. Short-lived security tokens expire on their own; backups roll off shortly after deletion.
